Brown rice is high in fibre and also regulates digestion and prevents diarrhoea or constipation. They also contain beneficial fatty acids, vitamins B1, B3 and B6, as well as manganese, phosphorus and iron. Brown rice also contains phytic acid, which binds to minerals and removes them from the body. These absorbing properties make rice one of the main products used to cleanse the body.
Preparation: 1:2 boil for about 30-40 minutes over low heat without stirring.
