Organic Premium Matcha Tea from Japan
Camellia sinensis is a green tea powder that has been used in the Japanese traditional tea ceremony for almost a millennium. The best tea buds are plucked and dried, then crushed to a powder. This powder is unique, with a distinctive flavour and a slight bitter undertone. This type of matcha is a classic class. It can be used not only in the preparation of beverages, but also as a food ingredient or natural food colouring.
Studies on matcha and its components have revealed a wide range of benefits. The trace elements in matcha powder help maintain:
normal iron metabolism,
healthy skin,
normal mucous membranes,
Protecting cells from oxidative stress,
normal muscle function,
normal blood pressure,
healthy bones,
red blood cell and haemoglobin function,
oxygen transport in the body,
The cell division process,
normal blood clotting function.
A traditional matcha whisk, also known as a “chasen”, is used in the Japanese tea ceremony to make matcha tea with a foam. The broom is handmade from a single piece of bamboo. Precise cuts create flexible “hair” that are gently bent at the bottom and joined at the top and finished with a special wooden handle.
Matcha tea preparation:
Place 1/2-1 teaspoon of matcha (1,5 g) in a cup or matcha bowl (the wide bottom of the bowl makes it easy and comfortable to whisk the matcha in water and quickly extract the foam) and fill with up to 100 ml of hot water (80 °C). Rinse the matcha until your bowl is filled with a perfect jade-green foam in about 20 seconds. Now you can add more water if you want your matcha to be less strong. You can add vegetable milk and sweeten to taste.
For best results, the whisk should be soaked in hot water before use.
