Organic dried spaghetti seaweed (Himanthalia elongata)
Organically grown, dehydrated spaghetti seaweed. The seaweed is hand-picked in its natural environment on the Galician coast (Bay of Biscay and Portuguese waters). The seaweed is dehydrated at low temperatures.
Soak, cook and enjoy. The fresh algae is brown in colour, elongated, narrow in shape and turns green when cooked. It has a very fleshy texture and an iodine taste.
Low in fat.
Sugar-free.
High in fibre.
Method of use: the product needs to be prepared before use: either boiled for 10 minutes or soaked in water for 20 minutes, change the water and soak for a further 20 minutes (its dried weight increases fivefold).
Serving recommendations: to rehydrate and cook in salads, as a garnish for various dishes. For use as an ingredient in pasta, rice, stews, soups, snacks.
Intended for: general public, except infants and young children. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Approximately 2 g of dehydrated seaweed spaghetti and 9 g of hydrated
seaweed contain 150 µg of iodine (Iodine NRV according to Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011).
