Can I put a glass lunch pot in the microwave?
Yes, the glass lunch pot, the silicone lid and the wood fibre base can be heated in the microwave. DO NOT heat the stainless steel lid in the microwave. The silicone lid has a small tab that can be inserted into the rim of the glass pot to prevent the pot from creating a vacuum when heated. You should heat the food for no more than 2 minutes, stirring and repeating as necessary.
Can I put a glass pot in the oven?
The stainless steel lid and the wood fibre base are NOT oven-safe, but the glass pot (separately) and the silicone lid are oven-safe. DO NOT allow the pot to come into direct contact with the flame and do not use it with the grill. Glass can shatter if there is a sudden change in temperature, so make sure it is at room temperature before placing it in the oven (i.e. do not move it directly from the fridge or freezer to a preheated oven) and DO NOT run it under cold water or place it on a cold surface directly from the oven.
Can I put my glass lunch pot in the dishwasher?
Yes, all parts of this product are dishwasher safe. However, we recommend using the top shelf if possible. Be careful to wait for the glass pot to cool down after the cycle and do not place it directly on a cold surface as it may shatter due to thermal shock.
Can I put a glass lunch pot in the freezer?
All parts of the glass lunch pot can be put in the freezer, but make sure the food is completely thawed before reheating, and never use the microwave or oven to defrost food. In addition, the liquid expands by about 9% during freezing, so you should make sure that there is room in the lunch cup before freezing and not overfill it.
Is the glass lunch pot free of BPA and BPS?
Yes, it is.
Is there anything I can do to make the stainless steel lid easier to open?
Sometimes, after several uses, the lid can become stiff and hard to open. Simply brush the inside with vegetable oil and wipe dry, making it easier to open the lid. Never put a stainless steel lid on a wood fibre base without first making sure that a glass lunch pot and silicone lid are also inside.
